the heard, sistine shrapnel, neato & schitz popinov at the biltmore

The Biltmore, January 5th 2008 - Schitz Popinov, Sistine Shrapnel, Neato the Filthy Varmint and The Heard



I fucked up the colour something fierce on this photos, and tried to edit each one to improve it, so every photo has different colour... it's kind of neat.

the "green room", aka curtained off plush booth area.








this was the first sign i should have white balanced... but i didn't.


i think mac looks like a lion in this photo.






this is shay (from the heard) and ryan (from sistine shrapnel) being super romantic together.

neato the filthy varmint - his set had technical difficulties and was cut short so i don't have many of him.


this shirt is from value village. he took it in himself with a sewing machine.




the heard took over when neato's set got screwed up... here they are negotiating just how to do so.



















































The Heard is pretty much the best band ever... I think everyone should go see them live. A wicked drummer/singer/composer/musical guru, a wicked bassist, two guys on laptops and three hip-hop emcees, one of whom is a super foxy lesbian... what else could you want in a band?

yes, you'd totally appreciate the bassist. he's the only one that doesn't go crazy on stage, though. haha.

I can't decide if I think it's super awesome or super lame to wear your own band's shirt at a concert. No matter, I am sure he does not care about my opinion.

i know. i said it. i was like, you can't WEAR that... but they just had the shirts done. i didn't wear mine because it would be so lame to show up with the band's shirt at their own show. ha. apparently not everyone feels that is taboo.

I checked out the heard on myspace after watching that video that you posted in your blog! That song is awesome - I love it!

Unfortunately I'm not in Vancouver..I wish I was. It looks like the place to be right now. I really want to move there!
