In 2004, I purchased my very first Mac laptop. She was a 15" Titanium Powerbook (TiBook) G4, and I called her The Red Queen - my iPod peripheral device was named Claire. I used The Red Queen until July 2005, when I sold her to a friend.
In July 2005, I bought The White Queen, a 14" iBook G4. My iPod peripheral during her life was named Emma, my external hard drive was Frost, and my network was called The Hellfire Club. The White Queen has lasted me more than three years, but her time has come to an end.

The Queen is dead! Long live the Queen!

I'd like to introduce you to The Hive Queen, a 13" MacBook (Blackbook). I'll be naming my new external hard drive after her caretaker, Ender, and I think I'll call my network Jane. She weighs approximately 2.25kg, or 5lb.
Lindsay guessed a Macbook Pro, so she gets the gold star.

Always such a happy day! It's like the birth of a new member of the family. (that was creepy but i'm sticking with it)

I'm on my 3rd mac now too. Yesterday I was helping Cody with his winblows laptop and I honestly had to stop and think about how to do things, which were as simple as downloading a program to mount an disk image he'd downloaded of MS Office and the install. I need to go back to work soon, or I'll forget (god forbid) all my windows knowledge...

Love your naming scheme so far.....but I must wonder what comes next?

The Veggie Queen? (fitting)

Kind of breaks the whole "The * Queen" format but I could also see "Queen of Blades" in your future....

That is....if you liked StarCraft at all.

i am not really a strategy game type of person... i'm far more concerned with building a good-looking settlement than an effective army. i wasn't sure what my next "queen" would be until the moment i bought this one... and then it came to me.

I feel the same way about my ipod! I got my first real ipod a few weeks ago. I hate to admit it but it's my baby and I've been trying to come up with a name for um "her". I wish I could afford a macbook but for now I'll have to settle for a boring old laptop :p

I am cheap but it is so sad to me that three years is a 'long time' for a computer to last! I know, progress, progress. I have finally figured out the difference between mac users and pc users. Mac users are rich and can afford to replace their technology constantly!!!!
